23 uses for coffee filters

Have you ever bought the wrong size coffee filters? Instead of taking them back to the store, here are other uses for them. Even if they’re not the wrong size for your coffee maker, they’re still a perfect solution to many small problems around the house.

Use it to clean your cable connectors. If your Internet connection is lagging or the picture on your TV is blurry, it could be because the connectors on your cables are dirty and need to be cleaned.

They are the perfect solution to stop bleeding from razor cuts when shaving.

Use them to soak up fat from fried foods. Put them on the plate and put your fries, bacon and other fried foods on top.

Use a coffee filter to cover dishes when microwaving to prevent lumps from forming.

Use them to clean windows, mirrors, TV screens, and glasses. They’re lint-free, so they won’t leave any residue behind when you’re done.

Prevents the palette from dripping everywhere. Poke a hole or two in the filter and thread the sticks through it.

Line your pots with a filter to prevent soil from escaping through the drainage holes when you water them.

Place a strainer inside cast iron skillets to absorb excess moisture when not in use to prevent rust and other wear.

Separate your china and other good dishes by putting a coffee filter between each plate.

Did the cork break in your wine? Use a coffee filter to purify it.

Use a coffee filter to apply shoe polish.

Put baking soda in a coffee filter and place it in your shoes or in a cupboard to absorb and prevent unpleasant odors. You can even put potpourri in the filter, tie it up and put it in your drawers etc.

Wrap them around tacos or hot dogs to keep grease and other stuff from spilling out.

Do you have a wobbly table or chair? Use a folded coffee filter under the leg to level it.

Ran out of dryer sheets? You can put a few drops of fabric softener in a filter, rub down the sides, and put them in the dryer to help prevent static cling and keep your clothes smelling fresh.

My favorite use is to take them with me when I’m working out. They’re even small enough to carry when I’m mountain biking. They are great for wiping sweat and other oils off my face.

One that I have not tried, but read about in various places is to use them to wax the eyebrows. I eat? I didn’t see anywhere.
