There are several options to choose from when you have decided to choose a digital drum kit. Despite the fact that you may have a lot of money, you better get your money’s worth when you buy an item. The Yamaha DD-65 is very amazing because it weighs only about 20 pounds and is perfect for standard snare drum mounting. This drum is perfect for practice and for beginners who want to play the drums, but not so much for small club gigs or playing in a stadium.

What does not convince me are the built-in speakers. They don’t have a lot of power and you won’t get a great sound. You’ll get a hint of sound which is fine, but you’ll get better quality when connected to a pair of amps or a set of powered speakers in an effort to get impressive sound and volume levels. All in all, the Yamaha DD-65 Digital Drum Pad is perfect for practicing and is good for a percussion student who has decided to learn drums.
